What is SENT?

SENT (System Elektronicznego Nadzoru Transportu — System for Electronic Transport Supervision) is Poland's electronic transport monitoring system, operated by the National Revenue Administration (KAS). Established in 2017 and updated in 2018, its primary goals are to combat tax fraud (VAT, excise), smuggling, and environmental crimes, and to increase transparency in goods transportation. It mandates real-time GPS location reporting for vehicles transporting sensitive goods within, into, or through Poland.

2. Which goods are covered by SENT?

Over 50 categories, defined by CN codes in Polish regulation. This includes:

• Selected chemicals, adhesives, and paints
• Edible oils, fats, and related chemical products

3. Who must register shipments in SENT?

SENT obligations apply to:

• Foreign carriers from EU/EFTA and non-EU countries when entering, leaving, or transiting through Poland
• From 2024/2025, some obligations also apply based on type of transport route (e.g., border crossing, transit), not only on the type of goods
• In some cases, even empty runs connected with sensitive goods must be declared}

4. When do new obligations apply for foreign carriers?

5. What information must a SENT declaration include?

A SENT declaration must include:

6. How is a SENT declaration submitted?

Declarations are submitted through the PUESC platform (Platform of Electronic Tax and Customs Services). Companies must create accounts, register business details, and authorise representatives. The platform supports creating, updating, supplementing, and closing declarations during the transport lifecycle.

7. How is GPS tracking handled under SENT?

Vehicles must be equipped with a geolocation device transmitting location data throughout transport. Approved options include the e-TOLL mobile application, on-board units (OBUs), or compatible external tracking systems (ZSL) that meet Polish technical requirements. SENT-GEO operates as a certified ZSL solution — delivering GPS reporting directly from the truck's built-in systems, without additional hardware.

8. What are the penalties for non-compliance?

Penalties are structured by role and violation type:

Penalties under the SENTAct are fixed and cannot be reduced. Vehicle detention is also possible for serious violations. Fine amounts are defined in Polish law and subject to legislative change — always verify current figures at puesc.gov.pl.

9. What happens if transport details change during a trip?

Any change — route adjustments, delays, vehicle replacement, or unscheduled stops — should be updated in SENT through the PUESC platform. The platform allows corrections, additions, and closing of declarations while transport is in progress. SENT-GEO provides real-time connectivity visibility so fleet teams can respond to exceptions before they become violations.

10. Does SENT apply to transit through Poland, even if not unloading?

Yes. Any transport of regulated goods that enters, exits, or transits Polish territory is subject to SENT requirements — regardless of whether goods are delivered domestically. If the route never touches Polish territory, SENT does not apply.

11. Is PUESC available in English for foreign fleet operators?

Yes. The PUESC platform supports both Polish and English interfaces. Foreign companies typically must provide official registration documents from their home country when setting up accounts and authorisations.

1. Is SENT-GEO a certified and approved solution?

Yes. SENT-GEO is operated by Aiden EU AB, a registered ZSL (Zewnętrzny System Lokalizacyjny) Operator — the official category of approved external geolocation systems under the Polish SENT Act. This certification means SENT-GEO meets the technical requirements set by Polish authorities for GPS data transmission to PUESC, and is a recognised compliant alternative to OBUs and other approved tracking systems.

2. Does SENT-GEO require new hardware installed in my trucks?

No. SENT-GEO uses the truck's built-in modem and location services. Nothing is physically added to the vehicle. Deployment happens entirely over-the-air — no depot visits required.

3. How is this different from an external GPS tracker or mobile app?

External trackers require physical installation, separate SIM cards, and ongoing maintenance. Mobile apps require drivers to manually manage compliance on their own devices. SENT-GEO runs natively on the truck's infotainment screen — it's part of the vehicle experience, not an add-on.

4. Which trucks are currently supported?

SENT-GEO is designed to run on vehicles equipped with an Android Automotive OS infotainment system and a built-in modem. Eligible vehicles vary by OEM and model year. Contact us to discuss your fleet's specific make, model, and eligibility.

5. Does AiDEN replace our existing fleet management systems?

No. AiDEN complements your existing ecosystem by providing a standardised delivery layer for in-vehicle services. SENT-GEO status is visible alongside your existing fleet tools — your systems remain.

3. How does activation work once the service is provisioned?

Each truck is assigned a unique SENT-ID used for PUESC registration. Drivers complete a simple one-time activation in the cab — no depot visit required. Any status other than Connected will surface a recommended action for both the driver and fleet admin.

4. What driver onboarding is required?

Minimal. On first launch, drivers complete a one-time vehicle identification step directly in the cab. SENT-GEO runs automatically within the existing in-cab workflow — no separate app downloads or accounts required.

5. Who provides support for SENT-GEO?
